Ensuring the O&G Industry Mission Critical Communications Dynamic: Evolving National & Regional Licensing & Regulatory Environments to Enhance O&G Sector Growth
Cost-effective, reliable, and scalable communications are one of the essential precursors of production efficiencies for the oil & gas sector. Yet exploration and extraction of these essential economic resources must often take place where the policy and regulatory environments that enable access to, and use of, some or all communications platforms – such as satellite, terrestrial wireless (e.g. WiFi and WiMax) – is unfavorable and littered with obstacles. In this session the panel will examine how the oil & gas industry could and should leverage-off its industrial and economic muscle to encourage the evolution of more open and transparent regulatory and licensing regimes.
